 Fun movie to watch, 2010-07-11
I enjoyed this movie, eventually. At first I thought it was going to turn out to be quite boring but the story developed well to a very nice ending.

This is a very good French film. Good acting, lovely scenery and a gentle story combine to make this film very watchable. The grocer`s customers are a delight too.
Pleasant, undemanding and visually appealing, 2010-04-26
I watched this film after a relatively strenuous day outdoors followed by a long drive home, and it was just the thing. The narrative was very simple; nothing clever there, the characters were not at all complex, and the plot was predictable. It didn't matter; it was the gentle pace and gentle humour that made it worth watching.
I enjoyed the contrast between Antoine's urban life and environment and the rural environment he returns to and learn to appreciate. I was amused by his fairly unlikeable indifference and grumpiness. Both the countryside and Clotilde Hesme were very pretty.

Unusual and different. Good story which unfolds slowly and gathers pace. Entertaining. Again worth having to see again.Enjoyable for both French and non French speakers
